Before Round 15 of V-League: The Battle at Hang Day

The highlight of Round 15 of V.League 1-2025/26 is the "Capital derby" between Hanoi FC and Cong An Hanoi.

The earliest match of the round will take place on March 6 at Thanh Hoa Stadium, where Thanh Hoa (13 points) hosts Hong Linh Ha Tinh (17 points). Despite facing many difficulties, the Thanh Hoa team has shown commendable fighting spirit, notably in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Hai Phong after being down 1-3 until the 73rd minute. Meanwhile, Hong Linh Ha Tinh appears to be slowing down, having gone four consecutive matches without a win and just lost 0-1 to SLNA in the Nghe Tinh derby. With home advantage and rising morale, Thanh Hoa is rated as having a good chance to earn points.

The next three matches will be held on March 7. In Pleiku, Hoang Anh Gia Lai (14 points) meets Cong An TP.HCM (20 points), determined to avenge their 0-1 away loss. The mountain city team, despite recently losing to CAHN, still has home ground as a stronghold, while Cong An TP.HCM is in a slump after losing two consecutive matches to Thanh Hoa and Becamex TP.HCM. Their poor attacking organization and finishing are major issues for the visiting side.

Also on March 7, Ninh Binh (27 points) is favored over SHB Da Nang (10 points) – the team currently at the bottom of the table. Ninh Binh recently replaced coach Albadalejo with Mr. Vu Tien Thanh after three consecutive losses, showing the club's high ambitions. However, SHB Da Nang also just secured an important 3-0 win over PVF-CAND to keep their relegation hopes alive, promising a challenging match for the home team.

The match between SLNA (16 points) and Hai Phong (21 points) is also noteworthy as these two teams have a long-standing rivalry. SLNA's form has improved recently with two consecutive away wins against TCVT and Hong Linh Ha Tinh. With home advantage and rising confidence, the Nghe An-based team can certainly aim to avenge their 0-2 away defeat.

The remaining three matches take place on March 8. In Binh Duong, Becamex TP.HCM (15 points) faces a major challenge against The Cong Viettel (28 points), the team currently second in the standings. Despite a crucial win over Cong An TP.HCM, Becamex TP.HCM is still considered the underdog as Viettel maintains stable form after a 1-0 victory over Hanoi FC.

Also on this day, PVF-CAND (11 points) will face defending champions Steel Blue Nam Dinh, while Hanoi FC (21 points) clashes with CAHN (35 points) in the headline match. PVF-CAND is struggling after a loss to SHB Da Nang, while Nam Dinh is coming off a win against Ninh Binh and is rated higher. Meanwhile, the showdown between Hanoi FC and CAHN promises to be very exciting, featuring many stars and an anticipated tactical battle between coaches Polking and Harry Kewell.
