Vietnam faces a major challenge after the 2-1 victory over India.

The Vietnam women's team encounters a substantial weather challenge from the second match onward in the 2026 Asian Cup. However, the whole team maintains the highest level of resolve.

On the morning of March 5th, one day after the opening match against the Indian women's team in the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup finals, the Vietnam women's team returned to training to continue preparations for the second match of Group C.

The training session took place under hot and sunny conditions, with temperatures exceeding 35°C during practice. Despite this, the team maintained focus and actively completed the drills set by the coaching staff to quickly recover physical condition and prepare for the upcoming match against Chinese Taipei.

According to forecasts, in the second match of the Vietnam women's team scheduled for 1:00 PM (local time) on March 7th, temperatures could reach around 38°C, potentially posing additional physical challenges for the players.

Regarding the team's health management, team doctor Luong Thi Hien shared: "The weather from now until the match on March 7th is quite hot and sunny, with temperatures possibly reaching 38°C, significantly impacting both training sessions and matches. The medical team has prepared electrolyte drinks for players before, during, and after training to replenish minerals, and also prepared rapid cooling equipment for immediate use during breaks."

In addition, the medical staff regularly reminds players to proactively hydrate even during rest periods, enhances nutritional intake, and supplements vitamins and essential micronutrients to support recovery and maintain optimal physical condition in the severe weather.
