The Vietnamese women's national team trains under 35-degree heat, facing Chinese Taipei at 12:00.

Coach Mai Đức Chung and his team set aside the 2-1 win against India to concentrate on the second Group C fixture versus Chinese Taipei at 12:00 on March 7.

According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), this morning, March 5, the Vietnamese women's national team returned to training to continue preparations for the second match of Group C.

This morning's training session took place under hot weather conditions, with temperatures reaching over 35°C during practice.

The Vietnamese national team players continuously needed to hydrate during the training session.

Nevertheless, the entire team maintained focus and actively completed the training drills set by the coaching staff to quickly recover fitness and look ahead to the next match against Chinese Taipei.

The Vietnamese women's national team's second match will take place at 13:00 (local time) on March 7, which is 12:00 (Vietnam time). Temperatures could reach around 38°C, posing additional physical challenges for the players.

Regarding health measures for the team, team doctor Lương Thị Hiền shared: "The weather from now until the match on March 7 is quite hot and sunny, with temperatures possibly reaching 38°C, significantly affecting both training sessions and the players' performance.

The medical team has prepared electrolyte drinks for the players before, during, and after training to replenish minerals, and also prepared rapid cooling equipment for immediate use during breaks."

The doctors also regularly remind the players to proactively hydrate even during rest periods, enhance their nutrition, and supplement vitamins and essential micronutrients to support recovery and maintain optimal condition in the harsh weather.

With thorough preparation by the coaching staff and medical team, the Vietnamese women's national team is striving to adapt to the weather conditions, aiming for a positive result in their next Group C match of the Asian Cup 2026.

"We were fortunate to win our opening match, which gave the whole team a big boost. During the recent break, we focused mainly on training and didn't have many friendly matches, so starting the tournament with a victory is very encouraging," stated Coach Mai Đức Chung.
