Vietnamese football is honored following the highly successful year of 2025.

Vietnamese football is awarded 4 Ministry-level Certificates of Merit following a spectacular 2025 year filled with a series of honors for national teams and individuals.

Vietnamese football continued to make a strong impression in 2025 by honorably receiving 4 Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. According to Decision No. 354/QĐ-BVHTTDL, 4 representatives from football, including one collective and three individuals, were awarded in the list of outstanding national sports teams, coaches, and athletes.

In the category of Outstanding Sports Team, the Vietnam U22 national team excellently ranked first with 1,660 points based on voting results announced by the Vietnam Sports Administration on December 31, 2025. This is a well-deserved reward for the youth team's dazzling performance year, as they clinched the 2025 AFF U23 Championship, achieved a perfect record in the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers, and won the Gold Medal in men's football at the 33rd SEA Games.

This impressive series of achievements not only reflects the competitive spirit and remarkable progress of the young players but also demonstrates the effectiveness of the long-term investment strategy for Vietnamese youth football. Professional stability and disciplined play have helped the Vietnam U22 team establish a solid position in the region.

In the Outstanding Coach category, football continued to assert its dominance with two names being honored. Coach Kim Sang Sik topped the list with 532 points, marking a standout year in the success of the national teams. Meanwhile, Coach Mai Đức Chung was again recognized among the top 5 outstanding national coaches, highlighting his enduring role and influence on Vietnamese women's football.

On the individual front, striker Nguyễn Đình Bắc finished third overall in the Outstanding Athlete category with 693 points. The year 2025 marked a major turning point in his career as he helped the Vietnam U23 team win the AFF U23 Championship, secure the Gold Medal at the 33rd SEA Games, and contributed to Công An Hà Nội FC's victories in the National Cup and National Super Cup.

Individual accolades such as the 2025 Vietnam Silver Ball and the 2025 Outstanding Young Male Player further solidified Đình Bắc's status. The four Ministry-level Certificates of Merit are not only well-deserved recognition for the outstanding collectives and individuals but also reflect a year of flourishing for Vietnamese football at both national team and club levels.
