Rooney's eldest son's goal attracts Sir Jim Ratcliffe, may join Manchester United first team next season! The mystery behind little Fletcher's disappearance revealed.

Manchester United's first team suffered a setback on Wednesday, but the Red Devils' under-18 youth team defeated West Ham United 3-1 at home, advancing to the final of the Premier League U18 League Cup, where they will compete for the championship against Crystal Palace. Sir Jim Ratcliffe watched these two matches and was deeply impressed by the performance of Kai Rooney, the eldest son of Wayne Rooney.

In the match held at Carrington, Manchester United and West Ham were locked in a tight contest. They managed to equalize 1-1 and force extra time only thanks to a goal from the "crown prince" Gabriel.

Young Rooney then came on as a substitute. Receiving a through pass, he went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and calmly slotted the ball into the net with his left foot, securing the victory for Manchester United.

Sir Jim made a rare appearance in the stands of the training ground, watching the young players' journey to the final.

Afterward, he flew to St. James' Park in the northeast, where he witnessed the first team, despite having an extra player, suffer a last-minute 1-2 defeat.

Kai Rooney was promoted from the U16 to the U18 team this season and has been given several opportunities in the squad coached by Darren Fletcher. He has attracted as much attention as Gabriel, the "little Messi." The Sun reported that Ratcliffe's INEOS management team has offered him a scholarship contract worth £50,000 per year, which can be converted into a professional contract once he turns 17.

Despite his impressive performances in a Manchester United jersey, Kai has consistently emphasized that he does not merely want to follow in his father's footsteps. "I am my own person," young Rooney stated firmly. "I want to see how my own career develops. Of course, I will do my best and strive to reach the highest level. I focus only on myself, trying not to think about anything else. I don't let any pressure affect me; I just work hard day by day, month by month to improve."

British media believe that young Rooney and Gabriel have a chance to join the first team next season and potentially make their debuts in competitions like the League Cup. This season, another pair of "second-generation" players, the Fletcher twins Jack and Tyler Fletcher, who came from Manchester City's academy, have already made their first-team debuts for United.

Among them, Jack Fletcher made his first-team appearance earlier. However, Jack has recently disappeared from the scene, while his brother Tyler has been included in the first-team squad multiple times, including for the match away at Newcastle.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Jack Fletcher was involved in an incident during an EFL Trophy match against Barnsley, where he used language alleged to be homophobic abuse following a confrontation. Subsequently, he was suspended for six matches by the FA, issued an apology, and also faced internal suspension from Manchester United.

Jack Fletcher claimed he was provoked during the match, including two off-the-ball altercations and having his Achilles tendon stepped on. During the argument, the opponent mentioned his brother Tyler and his father Darren, which infuriated Jack, leading him to shout "gay boy" at the opponent. The referee, standing just a meter away, heard the remark and showed a red card. The FA followed up with additional disciplinary action, imposing a six-match suspension to be served in youth competitions.

This suspension has caused Jack Fletcher to miss the last three Premier League 2 matches. The ban is set to conclude after Friday night's match against Birmingham City. Fletcher was also fined £1,500 and ordered to complete an FA education course. Manchester United has taken measures to increase players' awareness of discriminatory language and its harmful impact, aiming to avoid becoming another Real Madrid-like case.
