Return debut! Hello, Kyle Anderson! After waiting a full two years

Kyle Anderson officially made his return debut, playing about 14 minutes as a substitute. He failed to score from the field but made both free throws for 2 points and 1 rebound, along with 2 personal fouls and a -5 plus/minus rating, as the Timberwolves beat the Grizzlies 117-110 at home.

Before this season's trade deadline, Kyle Anderson was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Memphis Grizzlies. After appearing in four games for the Grizzlies, he agreed to a buyout with the team. Following the waiver clearance period, he returned his skills to the Timberwolves. Anderson had previously worn the Timberwolves jersey during the 22-23 and 23-24 seasons.

So far this season, the Timberwolves hold a record of 39 wins and 23 losses, placing them fourth in the Western Conference. Their win total is tied with the third-place Rockets (38-22), and they lead the sixth-place Lakers (37-24) by just 1.5 games.

Four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, when discussing what the Timberwolves lacked after losing Kyle Anderson, described him as the type of player who always thinks about passing the ball to his teammates. It is worth noting that Gobert and Anderson were involved in a serious physical altercation back in April 2023.

It is noteworthy that Kyle Anderson is the first naturalized player in the history of the Chinese men's national basketball team. He possesses one-eighth Chinese heritage (his maternal great-grandfather was a Hakka from Guangdong). During the 2023 World Cup, he averaged comprehensive stats of 13 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. However, the team's record was only 1 win and 4 losses, resulting in failure to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
